Post Graduate Work Permit
The post-graduation work permit (PGWP) allows international students who have graduated from a university or college in Canada to work in Canada for up to three years upon graduation. The post-graduation work permit also helps graduates transition to permanent resident status in Canada.
If you are a student and have graduated from an eligible Canadian designated learning institutions (DLI), you are able to obtain an open work permit to gain valuable Canadian work experience.
Skilled Canadian work experience in National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill type 0 or skill level A or B that is gained through the PGWPP helps graduates qualify for permanent residence in Canada through the Canadian experience class within Express Entry.
